2009 Top Tech Competition – Orlando FL
After the huge success of the inaugural Top Tech Competition in 2007! The NFSA is once again hosting another Top Tech Competition to find the best Fire Sprinkler Technicians in North America. The 2009 Top Tech Competition will be held in conjunction with the 2009 NFSA Annual Conference in Orlando FL (April 29th –May 2nd). CASA will be sending two teams this year, Canada-East and Canada-West.
In order to qualify for the Canada-East or Canada-West team, you’ll have to score as one of the top three people on a two-hour open book exam that has multiple choice questions on NFPA 13 as well as a hydraulic calculation that you’ll have to do by hand and a small layout that you’ll have to put into a building plan. Key Dates January 19th 2009-Deadline to register to write the 2-hour open-book exam January 23rd 2009-CASA will notify registrants exam dates and locations Week of January 26th 2009 – 2-hour open book exams will be conducted throughout various locations. Early March 2009 – Canada-East and Canada-West teams will be announced April 30th, May 1st – Top Tech Competition @NFSA Annual Conference in Orlando, FL
*Each Top Tech Competitor will receive a free 2-day registration to the NFSA Annual Conference, and a $1000 stipend at the conclusion of the Top Tech Competition to help cover expenses*
